Building Leaders Through Football
Accel Sports Fundraising is the lead partner of the Capital District Chapter. The Capital District Chapter
has had significant influence in the recognition of the positive aspects of football in the Albany area.
Their annual scholar-athlete dinner draws a crowd of 500 to see the best of the best football players from
the local schools. Honors also are given to coaches, officials and civic leaders. It is a grand affair that
has become a traditional community event.
The chapter supports an NFL-NFF Coaching Academy at Albany State University in June that benefits youth and
junior high school coaches. The emphasis at the clinic is on fundamentals, and basic skills and techniques.
Player-coach and coach-parent relationships are also discussed.

Maximizing the opportunities of our youth is a main motivator behind Accel Sports Fundraising's success. To help open more doors for higher education Accel Sports Fundraising will be starting a scholarship fund in 2010 for graduating Seniors of the class of 2011. The fund will be to help offset the costs of college and help students fulfill all of their goals in education. Details of this opportunity will be finalized during the Summer of 2010 and viewable on this website when complete.
